Jaynelle has led a lifetime of service to her community and to her clients. She is a featured recipient of the Five Star Legends Award, highlighted in the February 2025 FORTUNE MAGAZINE for obtaining an unprecedented 12 years in a row five-star ratings from her clients.
Jaynelle is also a lifelong entrepreneur, starting an S&H and Blue Chip stamp redemption company in 1960 at 7. She collected the stamps and redeemed them for prizes, which she then sold to her neighbors for special events like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and of course, Christmas—her reward: a shiny new Schwinn bike every two years.
She sold Tupperware, “fresh” Amway SA-8, and ACN long-distance telephone service. Each time, she earned her way to a management position and built a sales team for the company. Even when she entered the halls of learning, beginning at the University of California Berkeley and later Hastings College of the Law, she focused on sales and entrepreneurship. From an early age, if you showed her a contest, she was on it and, most times, winning it. She has always been goal-driven.
In 2004, Jaynelle ventured into real estate and the rest, as they say, is history. She was Rookie of the Year, Prudential Chairman’s Circle Winner, Top Lister, and Top Producer so often that her clients thought the special parking space at her office, designated for these positions, was her personal space. Once, when she went on vacation and lost the designation that month, a client came into the office demanding to know who was parked in her space. Jaynelle told them not to worry; she would earn it back the next month and did.
In 2007, Jaynelle started Watermark Properties, emphasizing helping underserved persons become homebuyers. She began exposing them to first-time homebuyer programs, down payment assistance programs, and grants and expanding the areas where these persons were being shown housing. She also raised the standard by which agents were paid, increasing their incentive and productivity. As a result, Jaynelle celebrated her 20th Anniversary as a Real Estate agent and her 17th Anniversary as a Broker and owner of Watermark Properties with three of her original four agents still in tow. She inspires loyalty. In 2025, she joined Corcoran Icon Properties and formed the Watermark Properties Team.
Jaynelle’s unique approach to selling is based on relationships and mentoring. Fully 80% of her business comes from referrals and repeat business. Knowing Jaynelle means wanting to be her friend and spend time with her. Three of her current team members started as clients. She is an avid reader of all things murder mystery, American Idol, and manifesting positive desires. Plus, she owns and knows how to use her power tools!
